Dear Colleague,

There is increasing evidence that oncoplastic breast conservation may be associated with fewer complications than mastectomy +/- breast reconstruction and may improve long-term quality of life, but large, multicentre studies comparing the techniques are lacking.

We would like to determine the feasibility of undertaking a large-scale study (the ANTHEM study) comparing the clinical and patient-reported outcomes of oncoplastic breast conservation (therapeutic mammaplasty and chest wall perforator flaps) in women offered these techiques as an alternative to mastectomy with or without immediate breast reconstruction.

To determine whether such a study is possible, we would like to explore variations in practice of oncoplastic techniques and indications for surgery across the UK.

We would also like to identify centres who may be willing to participate in the ANTHEM study.

We would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to complete the brief questionnaire below.

We would like to understand different unit practices so please only complete ONE survey per Breast or Plastics unit.

Many thanks for your help with this important project

Best wishes
